Alcohol
Use a soft cloth to apply a sufficient amount of 95% alcohol, then gently wipe the area with adhesive residue. The residue will soften easily and come off. Generally, alcohol does not damage plastic surfaces or car paint. However, sometimes alcohol may not be very effective on certain adhesives. In that case, you can use a soft cloth with a small amount of gasoline to gently wipe the area. Be cautious: gasoline can "dissolve" some types of plastic or paint, so use it carefully. Either test it on an inconspicuous area first to check for any adverse effects, or use it sparingly and for as short a time as possible. Generally, brief wiping with gasoline on a car body surface will not significantly affect the paint film. This method makes it easy to remove stubborn adhesive residue.
Essential Balm (Fengyoujing)
Apply a small amount of essential balm to the leftover mark, then wipe it off. It is quite effective.
Transparent Tape
Use transparent tape to stick onto the residue and pull it off. This method leaves no marks.
